Cole Allen

A graduate of Webster University in St. Louis, Cole Allen began his musical journey studying classical and jazz guitar before discovering the blues that would define his career. Inspired by legendary artists such as T-Bone Walker, Pee Wee Crayton, Otis Rush, Buddy Guy, and Albert Collins, Allen developed a deep appreciation for the blues and quickly immersed himself in its rich traditions.

Cole went on to form the Coldwater Creek Band alongside founding member James "Spank" McBroom. Along the way, he was fortunate to be mentored by seasoned Texas bluesman John McVey and the talented musicians of Hammerstone's in Soulard, who helped shape his understanding of blues performance and stagecraft. Their guidance helped Allen develop the soulful vocals, dynamic guitar work, and commanding stage presence that have become his trademarks.

Known for delivering energetic, authentic blues performances, Cole Allen has built a reputation as one of the most entertaining guitar-fronted blues acts in the St. Louis region. He has been featured at the National Blues Museum, the Soulard Blues and Roots Festival, The Alamo in Springfield, Illinois, and numerous venues throughout the Midwest.
